Updated Guidelines

There seems to be some confusion on our process.  I have tried to clarify our process based on the questions I get.

Please read the guidelines and other portions of the website for information on how and when to apply. Below is the updated Guidelines I hope are clearer.

  • To apply, the recipient must be a qualified 501(c)(3) organization or a qualified Sponsor organization that is a 501(c)(3) with missions aligned to helping women, children, the environment and animals.
  • The Foundation will target grants in the range of $5,000.00 to $50,000.00, but will consider grant applications for other amounts.
  • The Foundation will consider requests for multi-year projects, but the grantee will have to report on predetermined stage gates and measures of progress and request subsequent year funds. Payments will not be automatic.
  • All applications must be submitted during the announced window.  We will open the window each January, but may close the window with a week’s notice,  at any time depending on the number of requests recieved.
  • The Foundation will make decisions on awards throughout the year the application is submitted.   Any questions as to the status of your request should be directed to [email protected].  But please realize if your application was submitted near the end of the window, then any award will be late in the year.
  • Applications are evaluated on a First come basis and awards will be made throughout the year based upon the order of the requests were recieved.
  • We evaluate and consider every qualified organization.
  • The Application form outlines the required information needed and how to submit the Application form.
  • The Foundation will not meet prior to your application submission.  You should apply for the programs you wish to have supported, only you know where the greatest need is.   If we have concerns or questions we will reach out while reviewing yur application.
  • Grantees must use the Application Form on the Website under “Grant seekers” and click the link.
  • The Foundation uses Guidestar ratings as a guide to evaluating an organiztion and that may influnce the size of the funding.
  • Grantees may be asked additional questions and must complete a post grant summary upon completion of the grant period and prior to requesting a new grant.
  • The Foundation generally funds most project of qualified organizations in good standing with Guidestar,  that furthers our mission but can not fund national community based programs such as scouts, Boys and girls clubs, food banks or even local animal shelters.
